Catching Up, Part III

We went to visit the butterflies on March 16th at the Wild Animal Park, it was the day after the opening of the Butterflies and Orchids exhibit. It was so cool...there were butterflies everywhere, and the area is pretty small, so it is up close and personal...of course the battery in my camera (which is currently in the ER) died shortly after arriving, and we all wore black or white (not the the best butterfly attracting colors), but we had a great day at the park...butterflies, the baby lions, the baby elephants...good times, good weather...fun fun! xo -ag

Easter...

So we celebrate Easter on Saturday...we had a great time here at our house with a crew of family. The Ott family, the Gallahan family, Grandma Joanie, Grandma Terry & Grandpa Malcolm, Uncle Ryan, and Great Uncle Alan. We did the usual eat, drink, visit, and take photos. The kids did some egg hunting, the mommies drank wine, the men had beer...it was fantastic fun!

Lillian was a bit slow but gathered some eggs with help from Grandma Joanie, she did have to stop, put down her basket, pick up the egg, put it in her basket, bend over and say "Thank you Easter bunny" each time, that may have attributed to her lack of egg hunting speed...

I just love this photo...Lillian's jungle shoot, the glasses, the shadows, her facial expression, the hidden egg in the palm, Tim is the background shooting away...it just too much...it makes me giggle.

And before I go, I must leave you with a photo of the awesome Easter eggs Lil and I did. Painting eggs sounds good in theory, but didn't really turn out like my vision. I guess it doesn't help when the painter really enjoys mixing the colors and painting her own arms...
I haven't dyed eggs is a while, so I had fun!

Washer Update

The washer is done...well actually it still works, but we got a new washer (and dryer) instead. We even had uncle shane come build a new home for them...it's nice...yeah

...we did the family fun yesterday, had a beach day today...I even got a sunburn! My husband has run away to vegas with his brother, he comes home on Tuesday...so I am trying to catch up on junky TV. More Easter story and more photos to come...xo -ab

A trip to Borrego to see the Desert Flowers...March 8th

The desert floor was covered in carpets of color, we drove out Coyote Canyon in search of the desert lily, we never found one. Instead we watch the desertscape change colors and we drove farther and farther out...white, yellow & white, yellow, yellow & purple...very very pretty.
